30 hours Extended Free Childcare Survey

30 hours Extended Free Childcare Survey

Please go on line and complete

From September 2017 West Sussex County Council will introduce the 30 hours extended free childcare for some working parents of 3 and 4 year olds.

This is a Government initiative intended for families where both parents are working (or the sole parent is working in a lone-parent family), and each parent earns the equivalent of 16 hours a week at the national minimum or living wage, or more, but earns less than £100,000 a year.

The extended entitlement may also be available where:

  • one parent is employed and one parent has substantial caring responsibilities based on specific benefits received for caring; or
  • one parent is employed and one parent is disabled or incapacitated based on receipt of specific benefits received for caring.

West Sussex County Council have produced a survey to gain parents’ views on how the 30 hours extended free childcare might work best for them by completing a short, on line survey.

We would be very grateful if you could complete the survey as this will inevitably help us to make the most appropriate arrangements for parents when implementing the 30 hours’ free childcare initiative.
